There was little change in the number of full-time equivalents, with 22,267 people employed as at 31 March 2014 compared with 22,273 at the end of 2013. The regional breakdown of headcount was essentially the same as it had been at 31 December 2013.
Personnel expenses went up by 6.5 per cent to €295.4 million (Q1 2013: €277.4 million) on the back of acquisitions and changes to collective bargaining agreements. >> TABLE 16
