Totaling €13,483.9 million as at June 30, 2026, non-current assets were higher than at the end of 2025 (December 31, 2025: €13,214.1 million). The carrying amount of intangible assets rose to €5,508.4 million (December 31, 2025: €5,473.3 million). Most notably, the total carrying amount of the goodwill included in this figure increased to €3,505.8 million owing to currency effects (December 31, 2025: €3,450.9 million). Amounting to €2,025.7 million, other property, plant and equipment changed only immaterially compared with the end of 2025 (December 31, 2025: €2,013.0 million). This total included right-of-use assets amounting to €726.5 million in relation to procurement leases (December 31, 2025: €717.6 million). Of this figure, €567.7 million was attributable to land and buildings (December 31, 2025: €551.6 million) and €158.8 million to plant & machinery and office furniture & equipment (December 31, 2025: €166.0 million).
Leased assets for direct and indirect leases with end customers that are classified as operating leases rose to €1,801.2 million for volume-related reasons (December 31, 2025: €1,726.4 million). Non-current and current lease receivables arising from leases with end customers that are classified as finance leases also increased, reaching a total of €3,268.6 million (December 31, 2025: €3,136.1 million). The rental assets of €813.1 million recognized for the short-term rental business in the statement of financial position as at June 30, 2026 were slightly higher than at the end of 2025 (December 31, 2025: €803.1 million).
Current assets totaled €5,499.5 million as at June 30, 2026 (December 31, 2025: €5,080.8 million). This increase was due to the accumulation of working capital during the year. The reasons for this included the growth of inventories due to seasonal factors in the Industrial Trucks & Services segment and the revenue-related rise in trade receivables in the Intelligent Automation Solutions segment. At Group level, inventories rose to €1,781.5 million (December 31, 2025: €1,631.7 million) and trade receivables to €1,728.1 million (December 31, 2025: €1,528.3 million). There was also an increase in contract assets, which mainly relate to the Intelligent Automation Solutions segment, to €394.3 million at the end of the reporting period (December 31, 2025: €259.1 million). This increase can be explained by the progress of ongoing customer projects. The Group’s net working capital increased from €1,508.5 million at the end of 2025 to €1,655.5 million table ’Net working capital’.
Cash and cash equivalents decreased to €391.0 million as at June 30, 2026 (December 31, 2025: €474.9 million), partly owing to the payment of a dividend to the shareholders of KION GROUP AG.
